Coaching Memberships

A Full Coaching Member is a coach whose Home Club is HMFSC and who is actively coaching HMFSC skaters and participating in club activities. 

Privileges include:

• Access to coach on HMFSC club ice 
• Eligibility to be selected to teach at HMFSC-sponsored clinics, workshops, and camps
• Inclusion on the HMFSC Coaches Roster (website, print materials, and referrals)
• Invitations to club social, community, and holiday events
• Eligibility to serve on the HMFSC Coaching Committee
• Voting privileges as a Home Club member of HMFSC
   

Membership Fee: $65/year

Requirements:

• U.S. Figure Skating Coach Compliance (including Background Check, SafeSport, and Continuing Education)
• U.S. Figure Skating CORE certification or higher
• Proof of current professional liability insurance
• HMFSC Coaching Application with required documentation
• Must participate in at least one HMFSC event or volunteer activity per membership year
• Must not be listed as a Home Club member with any other U.S. Figure Skating club

Optional Dual Role:
Full Coaching Members are not required to also register as Primary Home Club skating members of HMFSC. However, any coach wishing to compete, test, or perform under HMFSC as a skater must also join as a Primary Home Club Member and fulfill applicable volunteer requirements.

An Affiliate Coaching Member is a coach whose Home Club is another U.S. Figure Skating member club but who is actively coaching HMFSC skaters with the club’s approval. 

Privileges include:

• Ability to coach on HMFSC club ice
• Eligibility to be selected to teach at HMFSC-sponsored clinics, workshops, and camps
• Inclusion on the HMFSC Affiliate Coaches Roster (name and credentials listed online)
• Invitations to club social, community, and holiday events
   

Membership Fee: $45/year

Requirements:

• U.S. Figure Skating Coach Compliance (including Background Check, SafeSport, and Continuing Education) 
• U.S. Figure Skating CORE certification or higher
• Proof of current professional liability insurance
• HMFSC Coaching Application with required documentation
• Must maintain active Home Club membership with another U.S. Figure Skating club
• Subject to space availability and Board approval
• No voting privileges
